    In 1991, a team of doctors performed open-heart surgery on a 3-year-old girl from Indiana named Lauren Cheney, trying to close what was a literal hole in her heart. If successful, Lauren’s heart would begin to function properly and forever pump life-sustaining blood.     A new youth football league set to kick off in August is taking a faith-based approach to the sport.
